Reasi, April 13 :In a major boost to educational infrastructure and rural development, MLA Shri Baldev Raj Sharma today visited Panchayat Tote to identify suitable land for the construction of Teachers’ Quarters at Government Higher Secondary School Tote.During the visit, the MLA personally inspected the proposed site and, after finalizing the land, immediately initiated the construction process for the Teachers’ Quarters. The project will be developed at an estimated cost of ₹76 lakh and aims to provide better residential facilities for teachers posted in remote areas.Speaking on the occasion, Shri Baldev Raj Sharma emphasized that improving infrastructure for educators is key to strengthening the academic environment in rural regions. He reiterated his commitment to ensuring quality education by supporting teachers with essential facilities. His prompt decision-making on-site reflected his proactive approach towards public welfare.The visit was attended by Tehsildar Bhomag, Zonal Education Officer Reasi, Principal of Government Higher Secondary School Tote, XEN PWD Reasi along with their staff, Chowki Officer Sarhi, Sarpanch Laldeep Singh, Sarpanch Pawan Singh, Mandal President Bhuri Singh Nag, and a large number of local residents.Further underlining his focus on holistic development, the MLA also announced that Panchayat Tote will be developed under the “Viksit Village” initiative. Developmental works worth ₹2 crore will be undertaken in the area, which received a positive response from the local community.Residents of Panchayat Tote expressed their gratitude to Shri Baldev Raj Sharma for his continuous efforts and commitment towards the upliftment of the region.
