Katra 03 March : MLA Baldev Raj Sharma met the CEO of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Katra, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, and submitted representations highlighting two major concerns of his constituency.He urged for the reopening of the traditional pilgrimage route from Devigarh to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan via Trikuta Hills, which has remained closed since the COVID-19 period, causing inconvenience to thousands of devotees and local residents.The MLA also requested the inclusion of a deserving local sports representative from Katra in the Governing Council (Sports) of the Shrine Board to promote sports activities and encourage local youth talent.The CEO patiently heard the concerns and assured that both matters would be examined sympathetically, with appropriate action to be taken at the earliest.The MLA expressed hope for a positive outcome in the larger public interest.
