Reasi ,29 December : The Handloom Department Reasi organized an Awareness Camp for weavers and artisans with the objective of informing and empowering stakeholders about various government schemes aimed at the development of the handloom and handicraft sector.The camp was held in the presence of Assistant Director Handloom, Mr. Ujwal Sambyal, AHTO Mr. Jyoti Parkash, and Junior Assistant Mr. Ashish Sharma. Their presence added valuable guidance and motivation for the participants.Around 100 weavers and artisans from different areas of the district participated in the camp. The participants were briefed in detail about the various schemes and initiatives being implemented by the Handloom Department for skill development, financial assistance, marketing support, and overall upliftment of artisans.Assitant Director Ujwal Sambyal encouraged the artisans and weavers to actively pursue and strengthen their engagement in the handloom sector, highlighting its potential for sustainable livelihood and preservation of traditional crafts. The participants showed keen interest and appreciated the department’s efforts in reaching out to them.The awareness camp concluded with an interactive session, where artisans raised queries and received clarifications regarding scheme benefits and enrollment procedures.
